Welcome to Atlantis, a non-profit organization and the world's largest Centre for Auditory Brain Stimulation according to the principles of Prof. Tomatis. We use this special method to help children and adults with a variety of problems.

Under the leadership of Jozef Vervoort, the official successor to Prof. Alfred A. Tomatis, and his daughter Astrid, many families find help and support at Atlantis.  

Auditory brain stimulation addresses the trinity that constitutes the human being: brain, psyche and body. We alternately stimulate the auditory and vestibular (balance) nerves, creating new connections in the brain. At the same time, the method strengthens already existing connections. Using specialized filtering equipment, some frequencies are amplified and others are attenuated. This irregular alternation applied to the high and low frequencies acts as a kind of microgymnastic on the muscles of the middle ear, which helps stimulate the associated brain areas. 

Thanks to the many years of experience of our therapists, to a variety of stimulation devices and complementary therapies, we can achieve amazing results. Innovative brain research (QEEG or brain mapping) illustrates exactly what this psychopedagogic method does in the brain. In addition, scientific publications and cooperation with doctors and universities provide a scientific basis and orientation to our work. At Atlantis, we work with children who suffer from learning, developmental and behavioral disorders of all kinds. But also, with adults whose complaints originate in the brain or psyche.
